Who can Hire?
You can! We hire out to both commercial and personal customers subject to all relevant approved documents and of course availability.
Hire periods
Our hires do not have maximum hire periods.
You can hire from 1 day, a couple of days, weekly, just weekends or even monthly. We always try to accommodate to your needs and will work with you to get the hire you need.
Hired in plant
We require hired in plant insurance on any hire. The insurance must be a hired in plant policy – public liability insurance will only be excepted if the policy has a designated section for the hired in plant. Motor vehicle policies will not be sufficient.
The policy must be valid for the dates you wish to hire
The cover required depends on the machine you want to hire you can find the required level of insurance for the machine on the information tab of the machine.
What if I don't have Hired In Plant Insurance?
Don't Panic! On short term hires (up to 5 days max) on the discretion of Spectrum Plant and our insurers we may be able to offer a Hired in Plant Waiver. This is a non refundable fee which covers you even in the event of total loss or theft of the machine. Any other damage would be down to you to cover. this is on the basis that our insurers are happy with the documents provided and the checks that come back. The ST6D gives you fast, aggressive and powerful 42 hp Doosan diesel engine. The STD6 has a wide hopper, robust all steel construction and phenomenal performance.
Built with a simple yet advanced electrical control system, which is completely water and vibration proof.

The machine has a throughput of up to 5 tonnes per hour

The 230dhb runs on diesel. It has an 18L tank
How is the machine transported ?
The machine is a road towable machine.
The vehicle you are collecting with must have a tow hitch ball and access to plug the lights in.
Does the machine come with an operator?
No the hire is for the machine only. However, our friendly team will be happy to show you how to use the machine before you take it away

address dated within the last 3 months

The original 8" tracked chipper with a powerful 55 hp diesel engine.
With its ability to get to remote locations an deliver an outstanding performance once there, the TR8 has a wide hopper and will process hawthorn as well as 8" hardwood.
With 10" blades on a large, 'open top' flywheel coupled to a 55 hp engine, this tracked woodchipper throws wet, green material better than any other machine in its class. A true performance tool.
